Group Starts February 28th at 4:00pm
Our Vision
Being a teenager is hard. Pressure seems to come from everywhere- teachers, parents, friends, even themselves. This group is intended to teach teenagers how to love themselves as they are, promote a healthy body image, and improve self-worth. Through behavioral exercises and psychoeducation, they will develop a healthier view of self, build self-confidence, learn social skills, and become empowered young women.
What is this group all about?
Sometimes it is easier or more effective to express yourself through art. In this group each member will be provided an art journal and art materials. At each hour long session, the group will be led in a discussion of varying topics including resilience, confidence, body image, and more as well as an art journaling activity.
This is not an art class and artistic skill is not required. This is an opportunity to look inward and grasp a better understanding of your emotions and how to express them through your art as well as your voice.
